In 1988, Father Bissonette founded Camp St. Louis. His vision for our camp was to foster and develop children’s faith in God, to set an example for youth, and strengthen friendships. It is a faith based camp experience that will last a lifetime. It is run by young adults, (TEAM) and during the week TEAM and campers participate in daily mass, prayers, celebrating the sacraments, and gain a better understanding of the Catholic faith. Outdoors activities include sports, singing, swimming, and nightly campfires. The camp can accommodate up to 60 campers including the counselors. Registration is based on a first-come, first-serve basis. The facilities include two bunk houses (boys & girls), washrooms including showers, a chapel, kitchen and dining room. Camp St. Louis carries a group liability policy and is subject to Public Health Regulations & Inspections. The weekly schedule at Camp is organized and run by TEAM. They lead games, present talks and dramas, manage rules, ensure safety, and provide music. A priest celebrates Mass with us, provides spiritual leadership and guidance. Camp St. Louis hosts kids from ages 5 to 14, and a counselor week.
Camp St. Louis is proudly owned and operated by the Diocese of St. Paul.
